Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally

July 31st, 2010

People who have been suffering from hypertension for quite some time now are wondering how to lower your blood pressure. Making sure that your blood pressure is not increased can be done in a lot of different ways.

First, using anti-hypertension drugs are effective in reducing blood pressure. Working through different mechanisms, anti-hypertension drugs are effective in lowering high blood pressure. One example is diuretics which are known as the first-line of treatment for hypertension. These reduce hypertension by removing excess water and salt in your system by urination. Another type of anti-hypertension drugs is angiotensin II receptor blockers which increase blood flow by blocking angiotensin II. Blood vessels become constricted by the action of angiotensin II. If this is blocked, blood vessels become dilated and the blood flow is increased which results to lower blood pressure.

The downside with using these different anti-hypertension medicines is their side effects. Typical of any synthetic drugs, side effects really happen with anti-hypertension drugs. Therefore, if you do not want to experience the side effects but you must lower your blood pressure, you can look into natural remedies for hypertension.

There are also so many different natural remedies for hypertension which are as effective as anti-hypertension medicines but without the side effects. This biggest advantage of using natural remedies makes these very famous nowadays in the treatment of hypertension.

Making the necessary lifestyle changes is one effective natural cure for hypertension. More often than not, a person’s blood pressure is elevated because of his or her lifestyle. If you have hypertension, you can choose between making the necessary lifestyle changes so that you will be off the medications sooner or not making the necessary lifestyle changes and expect to be on drugs for the rest of your life. When the necessary lifestyle changes are also made, the efficacy of anti-hypertension medications is heightened. If you have hypertension, what are these much-needed lifestyle changes that you have to make?

Having a proper diet is one of the necessary lifestyle changes that you have to make if you have hypertension. When talking about proper diet, food choices and quantity of food are the foci. Wise food choices must always be made to help manage your hypertension correctly. Making wise food choices means choosing healthier varieties like low-fat, non-fat, and whole-wheat as well as making sure that you have more fruits and vegetables in your diet. Furthermore, you must always reach for boiled or grilled foods instead of the deep-fried foods.

Another lifestyle change that people with hypertension need to make is to exercise regularly. Remember that you do not have to spend on gym memberships in order to get the exercise that you need. You can simply walk or bike around your neighborhood for 30 minutes every day and that can be effective in managing your hypertension.

In addition to observing a proper diet and exercising regularly, you can also add more vitamin C and magnesium into your diet by using supplements. Magnesium and vitamin C have been very helpful in lowering blood pressure. Ask your physician about the correct dose for vitamin C and magnesium supplementation.

These are only a few examples of different ways to lower your blood pressure. Make your research or ask your doctor about other ways to treat hypertension so you no longer have to suffer the side effects of drugs.

Ion EXtra Review: The Best Treatment For Hypertension

July 31st, 2010

For so many years, I suffered from high blood pressure. Regardless of the treatment that I received and the lifestyle changes that I made, my high blood pressure was still there. Good thing that I happened upon an ion eXtra review while surfing the Internet.

When my physician diagnosed me with hypertension, he immediately prescribed diuretics to treat it. I was under this treatment method for a year but my blood pressure was still very high, not to mention the various side effects that I was experiencing. Therefore, a change in my prescription was made and the doctor also referred me to meet a dietitian and exercise trainor.

After talking with the dietitian, I set out to follow the strict diet that was made for me. Aside from that, the exercise trainor told me that I must also strictly follow my exercise regimen. Furthemore, I was now drinking new drugs to lower my blood pressure. With all the lifestyle changes and angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors that I was taking, still my blood pressure was not manageable. I still had days when my blood pressure will be so high even if I was following the diet, exercise, and drug therapy.

Because of this, all my physician could do was change my prescription whenever the previous one was ineffective in managing my hypertension. Changes were also made on the exercise and diet regimens. But still, my hypertension is not managed properly. When I was just about to lose hope, I tried looking for answers on the Internet. Here, I learned about the different strategies to treat hypertension like acupuncture, stress management, and herbs.

I decided to try these methodologies in conjunction with the drugs that my physician prescribed. But still, my hypertension was very unmanageable that I was getting more and more worried as the months progressed. I was getting worried because I did not want to experience the complications of hypertension which made me want to find the cure as soon as possible.

Upon spending more time on the Internet, I read a review about ion eXtra. Upon searching for more user reviews, I found out that there are so many published testimonials about the product showing its effectiveness. I also found out that ion eXtra is a product that was formulated to balance the body’s electrolytes and ions.

After years of research, scientist Warren Ward discovered that the root cause of hypertension is damaged tiny blood capillaries. Furthermore, Warren Ward was able to formulate a cure to stop the damage of the tiny blood capillaries through a balance in the body’s ions and electrolytes. Because of his discoveries, ion eXtra capsules were formulated.

I was hesitant at first to give ion eXtra a try because this is not a medicine but a food supplement. I was later on convinced to give it a try after reading an ion eXtra review and other user testimonials. And true enough, I am now rid of hypertension at last! Even my physician could not believe the results of ion eXtra.

The Naked Truth About Thrombosed Hemorrhoids

July 31st, 2010

Thrombosed hemorrhoids are hemorrhoids that have clotted on the inside of the anus which is what you call a thrombus or clot. These clots may actually form in the veins of the rectum just under the skin. External hemorrhoids, on the other hand, can be seen and at times even felt.

There are times when a sufferer of this kind of hemorrhoids would experience that they are soft. Sometimes they would be so hard to the touch as well. You must know that this type of hemorrhoids can be extremely painful, or worse, a really great source of your annoyance. That is why if you are suffering from a hemorrhoid that has become thrombosed, doctors say that you should have it looked at within the first three days of noticing it. This is simply for the reason that because after three days, you might just need another kind of surgery that is more risky and expensive, so it is always wise to get it checked out early before drastically coming up with any treatment method for your hemorrhoids. What is more, the term hemorrhoid is usually used in relation to signs caused by hemorrhoids. That is because hemorrhoids are present in hale and hearty individuals.

Hemorrhoids basically cause painful symptoms when they are enlarged, inflamed, thrombosed, or prolapsed. And because they consist of the strangulation of a vein that is just beneath the skin, hemorrhoids most commonly turn blue. And although they are quite often very painful, hemorrhoids do not normally require surgery. In fact, hemorrhoids can be successfully treated with tepid baths, creams and the addition of more fiber in the diet.

For more serious hemorrhoids which have not been resolved with the aforementioned treatments, surgery is usually indicated so that the clot can be drained or excised. This is because routine histological evaluation of hemorrhoidal tissue is usually not very rewarding, particularly if it is grossly examined by an experienced anorectal surgeon.

In addition, external hemorrhoids are routinely classified by underlying pathology and symptoms, as well as thrombosed veins, bleeding brought about by eroded blood clots, and remaining skin tags that can cause hygiene problems. Also, when people say “hemorrhoid”, they are usually referring to the symptoms caused by hemorrhoids. Believe it or not, hemorrhoids are present in healthy individuals.

It is only when these vascular cushions become enlarged, swollen, prolapsed or thrombosed that most laypersons and physicians then refer to them as hemorrhoids. In fact, the available natural remedies can make a big difference to patients with hemorrhoids. This is because when natural cures are used appropriately they can fully cure hemorrhoids.

A useful guide full of tips and tricks for curing hemorrhoids naturally is H-Miracle. This guide is responsible for curing many thousands of hemorrhoid patients. It also offers you a range of techniques which are extremely useful for pain relief.

Really, thrombosed hemorrhoids are common, but most people do not realize that there is an easy treatment for these hemorrhoids, without having to endure surgery. Really, hemorrhoids can almost always be cured with natural methods. Doctors not recommend surgical procedures unless you have pursued every other avenue available simply because in most cases it is not necessary.

What Is Unilateral Pulsatile Tinnitus?

July 31st, 2010

From The Tinnitus Site

To understand it better, let us take the headline apart and see the result at once. Unilateral stands for hearing the buzzing in one ear (bilateral involves both the ears); pulsatile stands for pulse-like sound effect while tinnitus represents all those tinkling, hissing. whooshing, roaring, tingling sounds that are heard by the affected person day in day out, turning him/her crazy like hell. Rejoining the title head we find the picture in its entirety where the person suffering from pulsatile tinnitus hears the resonance of his/her own heartbeat from which the name of the disease has been taken. However, the reason behind this strange phenomenon is erratic or constricted blood flow in the arteries that run through the head and neck region of the patient which sometimes correspond to the beating of the heart.

Unilateral pulsatile tinnitus falls under the category of subjective tinnitus in which the sound is heard only by the affected person and no one else. Detailed studies have revealed that it is usually associated with otologic disorders having two basic types of hearing problems – Conductive and Sensorineural. While the first one relates to inhibition of sound transmission to the inner ear, the later results from infection, disease condition or abnormality found in the inner ear. The uncommunicativeness can be triggered through a number of factors that comprise inflammation of the external acoustic canal from the otis externa, perforation of the tympanic membrane, cerumen impaction, collection of excessive fluid or discharge in the middle ear, etc. It may also happen due to otosclerosis, signifying abnormalities in the ossicular bone chain. Of course, problems arising out of the cochlear part of the 8th cranial nerve should not be ruled out in this matter. NIHL or Noise-induced Hearing Loss and presbycusis (progressive loss of hearing with advancing age) are some of the common etiological factors responsible for this kind of hearing loss.

Unilateral Pulsatile Tinnitus – some of the causes

Though there is hardly any fatality factor associated with unilateral pulsatile tinnitus, it can, nonetheless be caused by heightened pressure in the head (hydrocephalus) as well as hardening of the arteries, both considered to be lethal in terms of medical science. However, one of the causative factors resulting in unilateral pulsatile tinnitus can be linked to the carotid artery and the jugular vein, both of which are located quite close to the inner ear and so are likely to conduct noise to it. Sometimes a vericosal vein structure can also transmit beating sound to the middle ear, resembling heartbeat. A rare but plausible cause that may give rise to the beating sound is ‘dehiscence’ that is the missing bone of the jugular vein and an unusually formed carotid artery. This part of the information has seemingly been gleaned from a post mortem examination conducted on person suffering from unilateral pulsatile tinnitus. Apart from such complex issues, unilateral pulsatile tinnitus is also caused due to hyperthyroidism, below normal blood viscosity and poor and erratic blood flow in the head and neck region.

How does unilateral pulsatile tinnitus affect the victim

Very unenviably indeed! The patient suffers from two different kinds of ailment. While one type makes the person suffer from giddiness, loss of balance and unilateral feeling of heaviness in the ear, the other subjects the person to hear his/her own heartbeat day in and day out 24 x 7.

On top of all that there is no hope of recovery unless one opts for Holistic way of treatment which is rather rigid, having no room for not taking it seriously. However, here are some of the basics, cited for the benefit of the readers. It involves some of the following and many more

  • Elimination of meat and/or meat-based food items, viz. ham, bacon, sausages, salami, beef, pork and other kinds of exotic meat dishes.
  • Elimination of tinned or processed food
  • Elimination of fried and spicy food
  • Elimination of fast food
  • Discarding alcohol or alcohol-based beverages
  • Consuming fruits and vegetables on regular basis
  • Eating fibrous food like whole grain bread, organic food and dry fruit
  • Practicing Yoga and deep breathing
  • Following less stressful lifestyle.

If someone follows what has been mentioned above, the person can get a cure from the factors that go on to cause unilateral pulsating tinnitus, which is…

  • Sinusitis in acute form
  • Tension and stress
  • Damage to the cochlear nerve

This sure will lead to a healthful physical state that would take care of the three factors (acute sinusitis; stress and tension and cochlear nerve damage) that are responsible for unilateral pulsating tinnitus. However, one should bear in mind that in Holistic method of treatment the body is treated as a whole in order to identify and locate the root causes of the disease condition and then specify the appropriate remedy. Conventional medicine, on the other hand, put emphasis on the symptoms, ignoring the root cause of the disease and that is precisely why the holistic remedy is ideal fro treating unilateral pulsatile tinnitus.

Hearing Loss Help

July 31st, 2010

Constant ringing ears or tinnitus has been identified as an emerging problem for people from almost every part of the globe. According to studies, an estimated 50 million Americans and even more in other countries are suffering from this very uncomfortable and distressing illness. Tinnitus sufferers experience this condition in different ways and also experience the discomfort or pain at different strengths which can manifest as tinnitus dizziness or psychological distress. The number is staggering at this time and it is expected to increase in the coming years.

Tinnitus is caused by long exposure to earsplitting, piercing sound. It damages the small hairs inside our ears which translate sounds into a form of electric impulse for our brain to interpret. Of course when damaged, these will not be able to send correct signals, thus, making the brain interpret noises in a wrong way. Another main cause is a strong blow that brings about injury to the head. Constant ringing of the ears is also generated by sinus infections wherein mucous formation adds to a build up of pressure inside the ears. If this doesn’t stop, it can lead to ear infections or the development of tinnitus and in this case hearing loss help is indeed needed.

Setting is a big factor in whether we develop this ringing sensation or not. This condition is triggered when exposed to the following kinds of environment:

- Industrial districts where major works are going on, drilling etc

- Airfields and the constant flow of noisy aircraft

-Weaponry arsenals, shooting ranges, artillery guns shooting constantly

- Bars and clubs with very loud disco music, rock concerts at full blast

- In fact anywhere you find loud noises happening on a regular basis

What makes the situation appear disheartening is that treatment and medications to completely cure this condition are not yet available. But, keep your fighting spirit alive because there are so called tinnitus cures done at home, natural treatments or even psychological conditioning which you can perform to lessen the sensitivity of what you hear.

Spending time with nature does not only serve to make your heart strong but also your ears. It has been proven that moving quite well, or exercising regularly will increase blood flow to the ears and it lowers the level of noise that our ears have to accommodate.

The ears’ ringing sensation can be reduced by less intake of soda and caffeine. Most of these drinks contain aspartame, a substance used as sweetener which is clinically proven to affect some patients and lead to tinnitus.

Managing stress and doing your best to relax once in a while plays a vital role in fighting off tinnitus. Enjoy life and never let problems get on top of you.

So if you are suffering from tinnitus, do not lose hope! There is plenty of help out there for you. It is best fight with a correct diagnoses and proper treatment.
